PSP 2.00 -> 1.50 downgrader released

Recommended Posts

If anyone is freakin out on it not saving correctly when downloading from 1122studios.com, right click on the download link and save as.

It's gonna say it's a .txt file, but it's really not, just save it to your desktop or whatever, and you'll see it save as a .pbp file. if it actually does save as a .txt file, which i can't see why it would, just rename the extension to .pbp

if you can't do this. just don't even bother trying to "hack" your PSP.

so chill out. my cousin was about to cry just now.

I am running 1.52 now. Do I have to upgrade to 2.0 and then downgrade to 1.5?

EDIT: NM, foundout I do have to upgrade first... So exciting! This will be my first crack at homebrew on my PSP!

wow. wow. i'm just stunned.

happened so much sooner than i thought it would.

congrats to the group who did this.

also, congrats for not being idiots. i read psp scene news everyday, and i didn't hear any rumors BEFORE it was released. i like when groups let their work do the talking!

I haven't changed anything on my PSP at all. It is basically still stock. Should I upgrade to anything or just leave it???

Check what version is it first and wether you want to run homebrew apps.

i just had a thought.

If you could install V.2 Jap firmware on a US PSP.

Does that mean you're PSP becomes a Jap PSP in essence?

Like can you watch J movies?

and the same vice versa?

If so, this is an EXCELLENT chance to like watch different DVD movies from different regions without worrying of locks.

No, the region coding is hardware locked, I thought that might be the case also, but when I upgraded my US to the Japanese 2.0, it still played my region 1 Spiderman 2 UMD.

Enjoy everyone, and www.pspupdates.com is a great place for more info if you can't find it here ;)
