It's to do with the order the sizes were saved in each icon. Depending on which software you use (or the person that created the icons) to turn the images into icons. Some software will save them as 128x128 48x48, 32x32 etc. Other software will save them as 16x16, 32x32, 48x48 etc.

In Tile view you'll see icons reported as their largest size (usually 128x128 or 48x48) or if they are ordered differently they could say they are 16x16 icons (even though they have all the other proper sizes). You can rearrange the order of the sizes in each icon if you want using th elatest version of IconWorkshop (it's a hidden feature ;) ).

So I do what....

Okay did that they are bigger, but when I double click to view it shows up 16x16

That's normal, the icons have been assembled in the correct order (according to MS guidlines). Even though it might seem odd that it reports them as 16x16 icons when they clearly have all the other sizes

With the latest version of IconWorkshop browse to the folder containing the icons you want to convert the order of.

Select all the icons in the folder (CTRL +A) & then press the ALT & B keys on your keyboard. This will rearrange the order of the icons & report them as the largest size they have in Tile View.

I don't know if this works with the standard version of IconWorkshop? I'm using the corporate version.

The only problem with viewing icons in Thumbnail view is that the alpha channel doesn't work in this (so the shadows look all messed up).
