Kraftman
Hey all, recently I have installed build 5219 of Vista. But, as with most betas, it gets old. I followed Chris123NT's instructions to make there be a single boot menu. How should I go about removing Vista? What I am planning on doing : 1.Formatting Vista (F) 2.Removing "multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(5)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows Longhorn" /NOEXECUTE=OPTIN /FASTDETECT /USENEWLOADER" from boot.ini 3.Removing "/USENEWLOADER" from the XP line. Will that work and not screw my system?
cropcircles
I use Acronis Disk Director Suite. http://acronisdiskdirectorsuiteb.say-it-now.com/ Excellent for renaming, creating, deleting partitians. Really fast and easy. To rewrite your boot.ini so it boots right back up to XP and not your Vista boot.ini which remains even after you delete your Vista partitian. https://www.neowin.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=385237
cpu killer
Remove the Vista "Windows" folder (see: http://cpukiller.aeroxp.net/blog/?page_id=9), and than remove it from the boot loader. Done :) EDIT: Guess this is if you don't want to format. If you plan on formatting, just remove vista from your boot.ini and format the partition it's on.
