Adster Posted October 23, 2005 Share Posted October 23, 2005 Hey guys. I'm seriously considering a new iPod with Video and I've read up on a few choices. The general consensus seems to be that Black is the more in-demand sleeker color, however scratched show up easier on the black face then they do on the white one. Does the coolness factor outweigh the scratchiness factor, so to speak? I just wanted to get some peoples opinions... Hey, you only live once right? Also, the hardware is going to be outdated in 4 months-ish so whats the point going for less scratches / not as cool? There's no point in ever thinking that there's a "coolness factor" as long as you have the iPod in the first place. For some reason or another I'd still go for the white, but that's just me. Anyway, it's totally a personal preference, i got black, because i love when people ask, "Hey is that a nano?". And because it's sleek. And it add's more of a "New iPod" effect to it. How about you wait maybe a month, probably less, for a company like Agent18 to come out with a hard case that you can put it around the uber cool black ipod so it doesnt scratch! That way you have the uber cool black ipod with a hard case that prevents it from being scratched!! And whats also great is since the new ipod is thinner, you can put the ipod and the case inside of current docks like DLO's Transpod for the car. You know what this idea is? BRILLIANT!!! Also for those people talking about the black ipod with white accessories, what are you girls? "Like OMG, it like, doesnt color co-ordinate, like we just cant have this." Seriously, who really cares? And besides most current accessories wont work with the new ipod anyway since they got rid of the jack next to the headphone jack, so more then likely since companies have to remake their accessories im sure they will come in black as well since Apple is making a black ipod.
