You can view the hotfixes in the Add/Remove panel wen you choose to Show the updates. You can select that option in Add/Remove panel.

The ASPI is installed by AutoPatcher and doesn't appear in the Add/Remove panel. When you check AutoPatcher you'll see that the items will be colored blue, means that the Module is installed.

Thanks, I missed that checkbox, silly me. They all are there.

However, for the ASPI, what I did was run the aspicheck program that I had and it did not show that anything was installed. So I manually installed it.

Two questions: 1. How do I set reboot time to 0 or 1, after Ap has finished applying updates

2. How do I tell AP not to keep hotfixes for later uninstall

These questions are in regard to unattended mode.

As far as I know, the reboot time set by the tool poweroff.exe. The defauly valaue is set to 60 sec for the reboot. This has a reason. The installation process is not done when all is installed. It will take a few seconds before all is completed. Some updates are loaded in the memory and some values are in the working folder, etc. Just leave it as it is, then you are sure that you didn't abort a process that's running.

To answer your 2nd question. AutoPatcher use that command that we make to use the install option with or without backups. The default value in the hotfixes and other related updates is to keep the uininstall option. That's build in the hotfixes. If you do not want to keep the uninstall option, you have to unmark the option to install with backups. Located at the main screen. If you can use it with "your own saved selections"? I don't think so. Never tried that ........

What will happen if I install this on my Norwegian Windows (SP2)?

If you have the Norwegian version of AutoPatcher all will work fine, if you want to use the English one. It stops on sorting the modules. The reason is the missing match between your systems language and AutoPatcher's language.

First, if poweroff is in charge of reboot process than it can have switches to reboot in xx seconds instead of 60. Where can I find authors homepage :shifty: ? And I don't worry about updates being loaded in the memory  and some values in the working folder, or aborting a process that's running - I use AP only on neomachines , and I restart AP manually anyways about 5-6 secs after finishing  .

Secondly, I used /defaults switch because it was advised in the post , so what does /defaults switch exactly does  ,and if I don't use it will the hotfixes not be kept for later uninstall? *do I loose any other function if I ditch this switch :shiftyninja: :p ?

Looking foward to your answer  , just kiddin' :woot:

You can't change the reboot time. This is done in AutoPatcher's executable, default ....60 seconds. Sorryyyyy.

You are using your own selection, right? In that case your selection is used as /default.......with the other command-line options. No doubt that you need to use it.

Leaving the /default option empty will give you an error. Don't use it at all will install all the default selections made my AutoPatcher. Just the way it is when you run AutoPatcher in the normal mode.

The hotfixes are still available for the uninstall option......

If 60 seconds it must be, than 60 seconds it is.

No, no  you didn't understand , I do not want to keep hotfixes for later uninstall!

What switch do I have to put in cmdline so they are not kept

I DO understand what you want to do. At this moment it's not possible to use any commandline option to skip the installation without any backup..........

Having a problem with Autopatcher. When installing the autopatcher install window with the available items to check off window shows up, but there are 4 buttons along the bottom that i can only see the tops of and when I go to stretch the window it only stretches the main window and not the bottom. I can just barely touch the tops of the buttons but there is no info baloon to tell me what those 4 buttons are. I've tried changing my screen res from lowest 800x600 to highest (over 1900) but nothing. Just cannot see the buttons. I guessed at them, and was able to do the updates, then upon completion I cannot see the buttons at the bottom of the screen to exit the program.

Have tried full screen mode, expanded screen, change res and nothing. Can anyone help with this???

^ ive done most of the changes, just a few to go. i should therefore finish packing today and start uploading. so everything should *hopefully* be up tomorrow or the day after.

no the 'december directx' will not be included because i believe what your refering to is a developer pack for programmers and is therefore not useful for the majority of autopatcher users.

I think the Redist versions just been released alongside the SDK.

Although my PC's always up to date, I still get games saying when I install them that I need a DX9 Update, It usually gives me a version number or month. Singles 2 was a recent example.

Maybe this Dec update will do the trick :)

Yes I was reffering to enduser directx9 decembar (that has some directX10 functions), I downloaded it 2 days ago... U can put it in APXP06JAN (I looks like CPU ID string code of AMD hahahaha)

And it would be nice to put firefox, so I don't have to dl & compile it every month, just as install option , doesn't have to be default. Anyway will be starting web serv soon, its in Europe, hope it will help distribute AP more efficiently ;0

ok, well itll have to wait till next month because this months is almost done.

firefox has been discussed before, and the nswer is no. if we did then we'd also have to include others like opera, and then all sorts of other things.
