I do admit it can get a bit tedious though, especially when they are either too tired to do much more struggling, or are waiting for the other guy to relax just enough for them to move. Lets have some good ol' Pankration at the Olympics :p While we're at it, lets get rid of those big padded sissy gloves they box with and bring back the Cestus like the pugilists at the old Olympics! For the most part UFC groundwork is dominated by Brazilian Jujutsu. No matter what stand-up discipline people come from, they all seem to know whatever they need to of Jujutsu. There were a few Freestyle wrestlers who used to fight in the UFC, but I think they are too old now. Even if they aren't, they were pretty full of themselves and rather lame in the octagon. Some of the guys who fight in UFC have Greco-Roman (olympic) wrestling in their background, but you can't wrestle pure Greco against someone who is going to punch you and knee you and apply joint-locks that will break things if you dont give-in faste enough. Olympic wrestling is Greek wrestling iirc. But I prefer grappling that we do at Ninjitsu.
