Totally different software.

Although they might be based on some of the same principles (but I don't think so), the coding is entirely seperate.

It *shouldn't* slow anything down. Maybe not "faster", but maybe. It really depends on your setup, and how things are running now.

damn now this sounds interesting, I'm almost tempted to try it out again, maybe if its got really easy unistall I might, the last time I had it was back in 4.3 days and when I got rid of it, it raped my appearance tab in the display properties that I couldn't swtich cleartype on or off ever after till I formated, crap like that makes you REALLY weary of retrying stuff.

if youve used xp lite make shure ODBC Database Drivers are installed

havn't used xp lite...i dont know why its doing this every time i try to apply a skin, it does like the normal thing it does with the "loading" in the middle of the screen but my skin doesn't actually change :(

The upgrade options and order bits on the website will be turned on Tuesday the 29th (we're in EST, so give us time to wake up).

As will the free upgrades for people who purchased 4.x after September 1st, 2005.

neener neener neener :p

I'm downloading it right now (it's 7:57pm CST)

Yes, it's 5.00.001

must be the final version, the previous version (beta) was 4.99a[rc]

This coming to you live from ODNT (Object Desktop Network)

(edit: no, this is not the version mentioned in the link above...I don't know what that is... and now I see the other thread mentioning that it's available on ODNT....heh, go figure...missed that thread)

Pretty much crummy since the trial doesnt support per-pixel alpha blending and also u forgot KoL's legendary Vista XP http://www.wincustomize.com/ViewSkin.aspx?...ID=5212&LibID=1

Correction: the shareware version does support per-pixel alpha blending on titlebar/frames for the per-pixel skins that are included with it.

The enhanced version is required to support per-pixel frames for downloaded skins. But it also includes support for scrollbar skinning, progress bar skinning (incuding new WB5 effects), progress animation skinning, per-pixel alpha menu skinning, colorizing, and more.
