WantedDeadeye
Windows XP Mouse Acceleration Fix (.exe File) ================================ Many gamers were having problems with unwanted mouse acceleration under Windows XP. This was caused by a faulty API call ("SystemParametersInfo") which unintendedly enabled mouse acceleration even if it had been disabled previously. There were some registry fixes aimed at disabling this acceleration, but they did not succeed. This patcher does not try to solve the symptom like the registry fixes did, but disables mouse acceleration at its origin, the system driver ("win32k.sys"). If you have never noticed any unwanted mouse acceleration, you do not need to apply this patch. gaekwad2
Mouse acceleration means the pointer moves farther if the mouse gets moved faster. If you've set it to eg. 800dpi moving the mouse one inch moves the pointer 800 pixels. With mouse accel it only moves 800 if you move it slow but 1000 or more if moved fast. John Veteran Posted December 8, 2005 Veteran Share Posted December 8, 2005 No problems here and If there was I'd prefer to download it directly from Microsoft. It's not a fix from Microsoft. This changes/manipulates the kernel-mode Win32 subsystem (win32k.sys) and (supposedly) prevents certain system functions from being called. What I've said is true and is a gamer is used with the mouse acceleration like I am, it **** up all the gameplay the guy is used to play with... and even with the read me which I read after because im a noob, it didnt correct the situation The correct way is to use something like replacer because even in safemode, the driver is used by windows ;) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/405363-windows-xp-mouse-acceleration-fix-exe-file/#findComment-586897438 Share on other sites
