Dual-core desktop duel: AMD vs. Intel

Recommended Posts

I see that this is one of the articles where AMD wins. But so what? That doesn't make it a better company.

WTF are you on drugs??? In about 9 of 10 reviews of AMD vs Intel dual core, the winner has always been the AMD cpu's, where the hell are these supposed reviews that Intel destroys the AMD cpus ?????

if AMD is a kick ass processor I don?t understand why apple don?t choose this one over Intel, maybe is because they will release a new kind of powerhouse processor in 2006?

If I remember correctly, I read on some post, that it was because intel had a better mobile line-up than AMD

Intel will come back in 2006 with their new set of processors. In the meantime, AMD should use their success with their 64-bit chips and build upon them.

Yep, Can't wait to see what intel has up their sleeves ( on AMD machine here), and most certainly what does AMD have up their sleeves to counter intels mov:):)

Pretty sure their CPU that their comming out with in 2006 is the Dual Core Pentium M and a desktop version baced on the same core.

Both companies are great. But at the moment I tell everyone that asks me

Desktop = AMD

Laptop = Intel

the Pentium M gives out great preformance for it's clock speed. But right now AMD has some what been leading in Desktop CPU's.

The M chip gives great performance because it's a retooled PIII. That was probably the best cpu that Intel ever made.
