I haven't read through this thread, but is anyone else as annoyed with how little room, by default, there is for the contact list and IM conversations? I was shocked as all hell when I saw the actual contact list comprised less than 50% of the contact window and the IM conversations were easily less than 40% of the damn IM window. It's almost as though reshacks like apatch are needed if you want to actually be able ot get something like IM'ing done within the client.
