Most likely a Windows problem.

System Properties/Advanced....Startup and Recovery/Error Reporting

Disable Error Reporting

ive always had it disabled.. i just set it to, show me there was an error, without error report.

I get this error too but not when browsing. The error pops up when I open the program. I tried un-installing then re-installing and it still didn't help. The Firefox version I have is 1.5. I even tried 1.0.7 an yet again the error was still coming up :( Anyone got the solution? Thanks in advance.

Same here... i was actually browsing through the forum to find a similar problem or post mine... and yes... it started since i've upgraded to the official 1.5 release. :( hope the mozilla ppl fixes it fast... but thanks to the session saver extension, i can resume from where i started.

PS: <offtopic>there a new window popping up when i click on the smilies on the left of the enter your post window. weird</offtopic>

My FF crashes often. 1.5 is worse than 1.0.7, if anything.

well mine doesn't, im using ff 1.5 i did a clean uninstall of old ff 1.0.x before installing a clean install of ff 1.5 and it not crashing on me. if your are using themes or extensions, are they up to date?. if not try updating to the latest versions, if not using any of them if you or anybody else is having problems and is willing to do a fresh install(that includes wiping out your profile and bookmarks then try this) backup your bookmarks or move them to another place. try this and see if that helps.

1.basically uninstall Firefox

2.go to program files folder delete the mozilla firefox folder.

3.(clean install)this is only for win2000 and win xp users only. go start, then run, then type %appdata% (application data folder should pop up, delete the folder called mozilla.)

For non win2000 & win xp users go here

Firefox stores your user data in one of the following locations:

Windows 2000, XP Documents and Settings\<UserName>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

Windows NT WINNT\Profiles\<UserName>\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

Windows 98, ME Windows\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox

Mac OS X ~/Library/Application Support/Firefox

Linux and Unix systems ~/.mozilla/firefox
