GameMaster90
I downloaded the full version of AutoPatcher November 2005, so is it absolutely neccesary to install the December 2005 edition? I'm a 56k'er, that is why I am asking. :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/409564-autopatcher-xp-december-2005/page/4/#findComment-586991309 Share on other sites

GameMaster90
Well that's what I used, it's called Free Download Manager. I paused it a couple of times because of my parents needing the phone, could that have caused it to corrupt? GameMaster90
I re-downloaded it again, different sites, and it gave it me the same problem. But I did have to pause-and-resume it once, so maybe that's it. I leave it downloading it overnight then and see what that does... GratedTopping
Hi; I'm a new user with 'AutoPatcher'. I hope it's not too silly of a question, but I still am not sure: In the window, some of the items are blue and others are black. Which ones are the ones that are especially supposed to be installed? Are black ones representing things that are not of the most importance (or things that are detected to be already installed)? Thanks. the_guy
Black items mean they are not installed. Blue items mean they are installed. Green items mean everything in that group is installed. the_guy Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/409564-autopatcher-xp-december-2005/page/4/#findComment-586999699 Share on other sites

GratedTopping
Thanks for the info about what the colors (black/blue) meant. I sure am glad to have found this; for reasons I can't explain, the windows update just doesn't work for me. When I do it, the files download and each installation of anything always fails. 'AutoPatcher' works fine; so, it's good that I can still keep my machine pretty-much up to date. Eddy Da KillaBee
This is sorta off-topic, but BlazingAngel, I've noticed that for months now a lot of the IMG tags that you use are using parentheses instead of the brackets, so the images don't show up. I'm sure you don't mean to do this on purpose, so you may want to consider fixing that up. ^_^ Thanks a lot for AutoPatcher! Been using it for many months now and am always happy with it! Happy New Year! Edit: Um... and a refresh of the page shows the pictures. Wow. It's not you, it's my copy of Firefox! Well, nevermind then! ^_^ Edited January 2, 2006 by Eddy Da KillaBee Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/409564-autopatcher-xp-december-2005/page/4/#findComment-587004215 Share on other sites
