markwolfe Veteran Posted June 13, 2006 Veteran Share Posted June 13, 2006 I don't know about OpenBox, but I hear that it is a bit more basic than Fluxbox. Anyhow, what you are asking for can be done in Fluxbox without adding in anything. Pixmapped menu background (ugly and non-readable, but it is obviously a pixmap, not shading) ;) This is done by setting menu.frame.pixmap .fluxbox/pixmaps/test/marble.xpm and menu.hilite.pixmap .fluxbox/pixmaps/test/neowin-slice.xpm in the style file. Removing menu titles is a simple edit to your menu file.
Alex Suraci
Ok, thanks. I'll give fluxbox another shot I guess. :) Edit: Although..is there an option to disable menu icons?
markwolfe Veteran Posted June 14, 2006 Veteran Share Posted June 14, 2006 Just don't define an icon in your menu file... With icon: [exec] (gftp) {gftp}</usr/share/pixmaps/gftp.png> Without: [exec] (gftp) {gftp}
ViperSnake
Now just as a review Blackbox: The original... Fluxbox: Blackbox with added features and pixmap theming support, and tons of other things Openbox: Just a window managment and menu system, it's bring your own everything else!
