corona2k Posted January 2, 2006 Share Posted January 2, 2006 First of all i want to say I LOVE AUTOPATCHER! Now for my problem. After installing the latest Autopatcher XP i started getting an error message "d3dx9_28.dll missing" or something like that. This happens when i run my 3D's Max application and almost any 3D app also some games. I'm pretty sure this is a DirectX problem. To fix this i had to download the dll from the internet and copy it to System32 directory. Does autopatcher delete this file? Notes : Autopatcher installed was December issue Full. Also used November issue and got the same error. Installed on a Windows XP Pro SP2 installation. Used the defualt options during installation of Autopatcher XP. Hope you can help. Thanks. That Autopatcher needs a newer version of DirectX?
