Desktop wallpaper doesn't show, and

Question

I got some stupid virus yesterday before I installed my antivirus. It did something to my desktop where it made this phony ass message say "You cannot use this PC while you have a trojan", the message was set as a wallpaper, and I couldn't right click on the desktop. I deleted all the viruses now, but the only problem is I can't see my desktop wallpaper, and when I go to "Display Properties" and click on "Desktop", I cannot select anything from the pictures portion as shown.

I can only click customize desktop. I'm pretty sure a registry key is messed up in which allowing this portion to work. If anyone knows how I can fix this, I'll appreciate it a lot.

I was right, my registry was modified by the virus. I had to navigate around

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\System

There was a wallpaper registry key with no data, so I deleted it and now everything works.
