+theblazingangel MVC Posted January 13, 2006 Author MVC Share Posted January 13, 2006 ok thanks, but one more thing.When autopatcher xp february, 2006 gets released then what do i need to do?(i.e. december full version + january update + february update? or january full release + february release?). or is there any other method? 1) dec full + jan update + feb update is fine, infact its what i wuld hope people would do to help save bandwidth. you should only need to get a copy of the full/lite release if you acidently miss an update release and can't get hold of it. 2) there is no jan 06 full/lite release. there were only four small changes, so an update release is all that was needed. It's a free program, with everyone chipping in they're own hosting space (with a couple of exceptions). If you want full updates everytime, maybe you should donate money, and then they can buy a dedicated server with the space and bandwith to support the extra file space. I can't see what's the big deal with just downloading 2 files (one of which is small) instead of one... Also, with regards to hosting, I know for a fact it takes a good 2 or 3 days until the torrents get up to speed with every new release - only releasing an update release means people will have to download the already seeded full release from the previous month, allowing more people to get it faster than before. There were 4 total updates that were added, so they released an update file, that is it. Download and install December's full/lite package and then run the january updater. Don't ask, don't think that people are hiding it... it doesn't exist! The following error occurs: 4) Installation wizzes by in about 10 seconds but nothing installs Likely cause - you have non-alphanumeric characters in your Windows username! This error is also listed in the faq..i've changed the windows username arjan into arjanpc1. This makes no difference. What is wrong?? Greetings Arjan......
