UnDeleting Shift + Del Files

I always use Restoration if I want to get a file back; it's free and it's always worked (unless you put it in the Recycle Bin and then delete it, but I guess if you screw up twice then you deserve to lose it): http://www.snapfiles.com/get/restoration.html

Once again, THIS GUIDE IS FOR SHIFT+DEL Files. I know restorationg works, but that is for files you delete via the recycle bin.

That's exactly what I'm talking about. The program is called "Restoration" - it has nothing to do with restoring from the Recycle Bin (and in fact, as I said if you read my post, it DOESN'T work if you've deleted it from the Recycle Bin). Also, for those who say it never works, I've recovered files on it, and have just tested it by deleting some files and scanning my HD, and they all show up immediately and are able to be recovered. I'm not sure that the fact that it's not frequently updated means that it's worthless - if you get it right, you don't need to update the program.

I don't know why everyone is having such a hard time with this. If you're having such a problem with deleted files, DON'T SHIFT+DELETE THEM! Leave them in the recycle bin for a while until you know you don't need them.

You DO realize, don't you, that a shift+delete is the SAME THING as putting a file in the recycling bin and then clicking delete? Anyway, if you had caught me yesterday before I had formatted, I could have told you the name of a program that I used a few times to recover files, but that's all gone now.

Read back further in your thread:

The only thing different is that its very hard to recover a shift deleted file (until now)

That's absolute bull****. Shift+Delete just marks a file as deleted and ready to be overwritten. It's not the slightest bit harder to recover a file that has been deleted by that method. All it does is skip the recycling bin and immediately mark the file as deleted.

I do ^

Many people dont ;) Just appreciate my effort atkeast lol.

So then why not just simply state that this is your guide to recovering deleted files? It's not just for files that have been deleted with shift+delete, it's files that have been sent to the recycling bin and then deleted as well.

And on top of that, as previously mentioned, this only recovers files that have been deleted while the program was installed.

By the way, I looked it up, the program I used was GetDataBack for NTFS. It saved my music collection twice, once when my Music folder got corrupted in some odd way (the files were all there if you typed in the full path, but the Music folder wouldn't directory list), and a second time when I was about to format the other day and meant to delete a different music folder but instead deleted the music folder that had all my music in it (4300 songs).
