conan_2000 Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 ah yes, conan... youre comparing Starbucks to most fastfood... while youre right in most departments.... you have to admit, you ARE working for Starbucks..... and they suck. Yeah well, they pay pretty well for a cafe job! I don't want any stress of work while I'm a student! And yeah, they are effectively a fast food place! I don't understand how people can think the stuff in these places is good! All the food we receive at the store has been frozen and defrosted before we get it, it comes in stale! And don't believe the skinny signs in Starbucks, they usually have the same amount of sugar as a can of coke! All the food chains do the same things, they try and make you think things are healthy, but they are only healthier than their other options. Nothing is actually good for you. Where as the little privately owned places round the corner do similar products that are freshly made and much better for you, for the same price Have you any idea how annoying it is when American's come into a Starbucks in the UK, and tell you about how glad they are to see it. Why didn't they just stay at home! Why would you want travel all the way around the world, and go into a bunch of chains that are exactly the same as home. trussman Posted January 22, 2006 Share Posted January 22, 2006 good god, those taco bell fast food places in America, they are horrible, we stopped there after traveling back From Carmel to Mountain View (where we have an apartment), and ive never had such a horribe taste in my life. Out of the 7 times ive been to america, ive only been to Taco Bell once and no other fast food places! I like to keep my body healthy! Yep, You're right! They are owned by the same people who own KFC, and they also own Pizza Hut. The 3 are just one big family. Fast food is all I'd consider them, Not good in my opinion.
