If he really wanted to, he could also take your little post there (an obvious joke...a bad one...but obvious) and use it against you as a threat on his life. Trust me. I got a guy busted for electronic stalking and he got a year in prison. Only served 6 months, but more than enough time to realize that acting stupid over the internet is something he'll never do again.

If you're going to say things like that as a joke over the internet, you might want to make it obvious it was a joke.

Now stop acting like a kid over a theme of all things.

I think the joke came out on you, at least in my book. Who seriously rats out to the police because someone on the Internet said something? Please...

Anyways, back to the topic. I can't wait for this skin, every time I see the teaser, time stops.

Sorry to bother, but could it be possible to make this msstyle less blinding? :p The white menu background plus the very light blue highlight reminds me Royale Vista, and I guess it's a pity that such a good looking, well done msstyle, have a weakpoint like that. It's my opinion, I'm not using it because it's harmful to my eyes after a couple of hours. Could my request be taken? I'd like the menu's backgrounds or, at least, the highlights, would be darker to make it less "lightful". It's a great theme I'd love to integrate in my own Windows Unattended Disc. Thank you very much!

You can select an alternate selection color which does what you are asking for. It is in Display Preferences > Appereance, in the Font size dropdown.

Yes, you're right, but however, things like the Start Menu are still white, and the rectangle that highlights the entries in the start meny is still light blue. Nobody had any problem with that, but I do, and I really like the glossy black look that all the Vista themes have, but........ well, that's it. I can't edit it in Style Builder (TGT Soft), it always has a problem when applying the theme. Well, thanks anyway man!

Check back to when LE5 was released. There actually was quite an uproar about the highlight color. Also, you can use ResEdit to change the colors. It's really not that hard. If you get stuck, you can always post your questions here; someone's bound to help you.

For starters, the colors you would need to change are Menu (use the menubar color), Highlight, and MenuHighlight. To fix the Start Panel color, you would need to edit the StartPanelMFUBackground.bmp and StartPanelMoreProgBackground.bmp.

A note on the file names in the Textfile area:

ExtraLargeBlackC_INI is the Compact Startmenu Compact Black

ExtraLargeBlack_INI is the Compact Start Menu Black

ExtraLargeBlueC_INI is the Compact Startmenu Compact Blue

ExtraLargeBlue_INI is the Compact Start Menu Blue

Etc...

So, choose whichever substyle it is that you want to change and edit the file in Notepad. You can edit the image files in Paint or any other image editor.

I've never been a fan of the white menus when the menubar is another color. I think it looks tacky and like somebody forgot to change it before it went out the door. I fix it in every VS I come across with it like that.

Thanks for the help, I'll try it in a while. BTW, I'm currently mixing Opus Luna by b0se with Vista CG. If when I finish it, b0se gives me permission, I will post it here. For the moment, it will be only for personal use. I've sent him a PM, but he hasn't answered yet. Thanks again for the data. Bye!

No problem. And good luck with your Frankenstein!

I've come to a decision. I don't know when I'll be able to finish the black version. Therefore I'm gonna release the new blue style separate in a few days. How does that sound?

Sound sweeter than Sweet Tarts (though that makes no sense at all).
