Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 25, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 25, 2008 5.1 Black opens up fine on my PC. Are you sure you are importing it into a different folder then Blue?
Nevezen
If you change the alignment from the bars it will look very weird cause then it doesn't look centered anymore. Fair enough mate =) I'm weird about things like alignment, paranoid actually, so I hope you didn't mind me pointing it out P:
Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 27, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 27, 2008 You see what I mean? Now the top from the posbar slider looks to big and the left side from the scrollbar slider as well. The hole theme has it centered so why change it for a Winamp skin. srn
You can't have it aligned centered cause the slider track height is 4 px and the slider itself is 7 px in height. Therefore 2 px jut out on top and 1px on bottom. Nevezen's slider alignments look better imho. Because the white outline on the bottom of the slider track is more distinctive compared to the upper darker part. This outline is a reflection whereas the upper part is a drop shadow. If you regard this outline as part of the background and not as part of the engraved slider track you see that the slider juts out 2 px on top and 2 px on bottom. Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 27, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 27, 2008 The white line is a bevel. The way the original LE Winamp skin is look much better imo. I know what you guys mean though but I can clearly see that Nevezen's slider alignments are wrong compared to the sliders.

Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 28, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 28, 2008 (edited) If you guys want to make a nice Olive version then I've got a nice example: I've never made a theme out of this screenshot. It's just an image where I was playing around with the olive color scheme from Luna. So don't ask me if I can send the mod cause I simply never made the mod. I just wanted to give you guys a tip if some of you want to make an olive version. If you want me to remove this screenshot em3, just give me a sign ;) Edited January 28, 2008 by Capric0rn
tehmemories
You just gave me a reason to ditch my UGLY green mod and attempt this olive color one ! *saves screenshot* *My chocolate one is still teh bestest*

If you want me to remove this screenshot em3, just give me a sign ;) That's quite nice, and the olive matches well with the beige toolbar background colors of the LE Blue themes. I have a question though... since it's clearly visible in that little screenshot. You can see there that that "shine" bevel on the caption button is off by 1px, compared to the window caption; ie the button is 1px too high. Is there any way to fix that? I tried messing with it in ResEdit, but I couldn't find the correct value. It's easy to ignore though, because the message window doesn't appear that often. I'm just a stickler for details. Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 29, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 29, 2008 There's no way to fix that.. It's an issue in the Windows skinning engine. For some reason dialogs like run etc use a smaller border then other windows.
tehmemories
I believe that's supposed to be like that. The buttons aren't part of the main bar. So therefore the gloss would shine differently.
Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 29, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 29, 2008 ^That's true.. but it's still a bug in the Windows skinning engine cause it's kinda weird that those windows have a smaller border.
acies
Is there not a way around that though? As I am pretty sure I have a seen a skin or two where the dialog boxes were the same as the standard.
Jamushroom Veteran Posted January 30, 2008 Veteran Share Posted January 30, 2008 There's no way around it.. As I already said, it's a thing inside the skinning engine and not inside a visual style. There's no option to change the border sizes of windows in a visual style.

Xenophobe
Is it just me, or does the theme not correctly apply to Explorer's task pane?
Jamushroom Veteran Posted February 1, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 1, 2008 The theme doesn't apply to Explorer's task pane cause it doesnt have a shellstyle. Explorer windows look much better when the shellstyle is disabled and em3 doesn't use shellstyles. That's why he didn't include it. If you want to use a shellstyle, you can take it from the previous LE. Copy the "Shell" folder into the "LE" folder. @SakuraKira: No problem. Jamushroom Veteran Posted February 4, 2008 Veteran Share Posted February 4, 2008 Yeah, that's a ripper that I've warned several times. He removed his mod the other times I asked him to release it but he doesn't remove this one. The DA board removed it but he just uploads it over and over again.. In the most sincere way, why dont you just allow mods? providing they say its a mod of such and such.. I think its a great theme and I have much respect for the maker of it.. but It's kinda like beating a dead horse. (and seriously im not trying to start a fight or flame war or anything) I just think it would end the annoyance of inconsiderate people.

Reasons: 1, 2 "I just think it would end the annoyance of inconsiderate people" So.. they are allowed to annoy us with making rips based on our stuff and uploading them? If they just start respecting the decisions we make maybe all the annoyance will stop.
