lend82
Hi Everyone :D I have a LANPARTY UT nF4 Ultra-D motherboard with a Realtek ALC850 8-channel audio CODEC intergrated audio codec(I'm waiting on a rma'd OCZ Powerstream 520 to return to me to finish building my new computer). I'm going to be playing Quake 4, so I was wondering if the Realtek ALC850 codec supports OpenAL. Anyone know? hehe, thank you for your time and patience, Have a nice day :D :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/429008-hi-does-the-realtek-alc850-support-openal/ Share on other sites
strekship
I don't know, but if you want to boost your FPS a little you might want to look into a sound card. Lemonzest
Install the openal runtime (from openal.org) and it will run using the "generic hardware" path, only creative audigy cards up work with native acceleration. Hope that helps Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/429008-hi-does-the-realtek-alc850-support-openal/#findComment-587322084 Share on other sites
