sanshairo
Can anyone here help me find a way to make my PC shut down itself after a specific period of time automatically? I really need that. Thanx.

fock neow1n
Or use your task scheduler to run a batch file.
John Veteran Posted February 7, 2006 Veteran Share Posted February 7, 2006 would I be able to delay it for like 4 hours? shutdown -s -t 14400 would shut the machine down in 14400 seconds, or 4 hours. The only thing is that the shutdown is initiated when you run the command, and users will see a "System Shutdown" window that will remain on top of whatever they're doing. A better way would be to set up a Scheduled Task to run on a specific schedule.
