Prosidius
Tomorrow begins the first day of a drastically changed lineup. I hope it proves to be a success.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted April 26, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted April 26, 2006 Dempster was a bit over valued in that trade, IMO.
Prosidius
He was the only Cubbie I could actually count on though. He has yet to allow a run since September. Now I need a pitcher. Overall though the trade boosted my lack luster offense.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted April 27, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted April 27, 2006 adam: there are no just P Pitchers. It's either RP and SP. The P roster spot is open to any kind of pitcher, in case you have more than two SP's or just have a ton of RP's.
L3thal Veteran Posted April 27, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 27, 2006 I voted against the trade because it was lopsided in my opinion, but what do I care; I'm in second place.
virtualmadden
I guess if you really want those saves, which might not help as much as three solid batters.

L3thal Veteran Posted April 28, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 28, 2006 Was falling a little behind Bro until two of my pitchers tonight got 14 K's and both got wins, helping me gain some valuable points. Looks like I will have to pull a late one here.

L3thal Veteran Posted April 29, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 29, 2006 Good thing that my starting pitchers are carrying me. Even better, Bonds is back to his old self, going 2-4 with 4 RBI's tonight, further strengthening my lead in the RBI category.
Prosidius
Just incase you didnt read my post in the fantasy league... I need the trade I accepted to be declined. Vote against it, thanks. :)
bangbang023 Veteran Posted April 30, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted April 30, 2006 why would you accept it if you don't want it? I made it as fair of a trade as I could while still trying to fill a need my team has. edit: ah you pressed the wrong button. I can't cancel it now. Prosidius
Ah well, Lopez I didnt really use much. I think I got him from the recent trade I did which got me Beltran and Vidro. Biggio should be big for times I need him. I was gonna try to snatch Jones from you though. :p

I don't want to give up Biggio but I have too many second basemen and only one shortstop right now and I need a better circulation of players with on/off days. We are probably going ot break even right now, with the exception of maybe one of the two remaining more consistent, but I have no other choice. I didn't want to drop Biggio for a pickup, so I went for the trade idea and saw you had an abundance of shortstops and weren't using him anyway. j.nudd
I made the trade for Dempster because he could help in ERA and Saves for sure, maybe in WHIP as well. Beltran is going to have another bad year, I can already tell from his injury. So, really I was getting rid of a liability in Beltran and made a decently fair trade. I'm kind of wishing I hadn't traded Lopez, he's a pretty good bat that I could use back in my lineup. I may have to see what you'd like to trade for him bang (unless of course he's filling a position that you really need).

Well, if the trade goes through, he'd be filling my lacking shortstop position. His bat has cooled off and he's down to .280 so he's not exactly top prospect right now. However, Everett is in a slump and having so many Astros players hurts me when the team has off.
L3thal Veteran Posted April 30, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 30, 2006 If anyone is looking for pitching, I have an array of pitchers that can help any of your teams right off the bat. Just offer me a trade and I will give it good thought.
bangbang023 Veteran Posted April 30, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted April 30, 2006 Well, looks like I'm losing 10 - 1. I'm going to have some major ground to make up. Madden got lucky at the right time.
L3thal Veteran Posted April 30, 2006 Veteran Share Posted April 30, 2006 My matchup with BroChaos is really down to the wire. I'm up by 1 RBI and he is up by 1K. Those two stats will decide who wins.

Just offer me a trade and I will give it good thought. I'm sitting on quite a few pitchers as well. My starting pitchers are killing me mainly. Good ol' King Felix is killing my stats, but it looks like Westbrook is pitching pretty well tonight.
