nekrosoft13 Posted February 23, 2006 Share Posted February 23, 2006 Windows XP Pro can be acquired with a site license and will be legal with no activation, I would imagine that if you personally buy a copy of ultimate, it will have activation because it is not a site license, we shall see though. Besides, unless you are installing it on a bunch of computers, activation isn't really that hard, it's like complaining that you have to fill out the registration form at the first boot of OS X, who cares? i always had a problem with activation, its just damn annoying online activation worked for 3-4 times, after that i had to call and explain why i'm reactivating, every new bios, i had to reactivate, some new drivers i was forced to, reinstall well ofc. on my laptop, changed the hdd from 4200 to 7200, and was forced to. i just hate activation Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/434919-windows-vista-8-versions-explained/page/5/#findComment-587234873 Share on other sites More sharing options...
