My work just bought me a Logitech mx 1000 mouse. I like everything about it so far except that silly lateral 'tilt' scrolling!

I use the mouse a lot for CAD applications and the middle button usually for panning, that tilt control is messing things up for me and the mouse settings totally neglected these buttons. I can't disable, modify reassign these buttons.

Do you know of a way to disable tilt scrolling in the logitech mx 1000 ?? If you do, I would be very grateful.

Thanks!

There is a way if you installed logitech's software. Open Setpoint and you will see the picture of the mouse with the buttons listed to the right. 9 and 10 are the tilt scrolling functions. Click 9 then select "other" on the right and pick "Do nothing" or "Unassigned. Do the same for 10 and that it.

LOL, i had the same issue as well, i work with CAD and use the middle button alot to pan, zoom extents etc...

And i did exactly what was mentioned above, just disable those buttons functions and your set... although still not the best mouse for CAD it will work ok. I find the middle button is way to stiff to press, makes for alot of clicking to get it to grab right.. :/

that is weird, SetPoint only lists till 8, no 9 or 10 buttons, Did you download Setpoint or Installed itr from the CD that came with the mouse?

I 1000% agree, the middle button is too stiff, giving me a hard time panning!! ah well....

I downloaded it, and I do have those last two options. You might be using an older version.
