Yeah, i know about that one before, but that's a shell32 hack. There are lots of people like me for exampke who don't want to hack shell32.dll. So what's the next best thing? Exactly, iconpackager.

You can also use this scheme btw with iconphile.

A SHELL32.DLL hack is very nice for english xp versions, but when you have another language then you must port it again.

@food

Well microangelo was a good partner too. :)

and

,everaldo updated his theme a few weeks ago with new icons, take for example the recyclebin, so that osx icontheme won't be uptodate. It would be really lame btw if i used those icons instead of everaldo's his own set.

@everybody

i will include the 72x72 icons too, and also the 128x128. (if you really are a big iconfreak):)

Well don't think to easy about it, iconphile can read the icl files but doesn't put the icons automatic on the right place, for example the my computer icon at the my computer place, you have to do that manually.

ICL is a standard international icon library format, so you can also use other tools to extract the icons and apply them on your system.

just download the themefile and rename the extention to .zip. You will see that the zip file contains 2 files. One is an icl file, and that one is supported by many tools.

Easiest thing is to just use ikonpackager.

yeah, i understand iconphile won't be able to use iconpackager themes, but i didn't know the icl is in the file.

i tried iconpackager before and it turned me off as when i restored default icons, it changed some xp icons to pre xp icons. i think they were system icons, like the icon for the control panel or something.

have they changed that? i shall redownload and try again.
