EPR
Not sure if this is a good thing, but I like Writely. I don't use it much, but it is a great Web 2.0 app. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/440959-google-acquires-writely/#findComment-587289778 Share on other sites
Neil
Doesn't surprise me but with Google and Sun Microsystems and with this, they are deafently onto some sort of free word processor. soypowered
Looks nifty! I wonder if Google will integrate it into a new service or keep it as is. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/440959-google-acquires-writely/#findComment-587289792 Share on other sites

chrisgeleven
Writely is basically an online AJAX word processor, with group collaboration features. When I tried it out, I was pleasantly surprised with how solid it was. The dream of an online version of Office/OpenOffice isn't that far away from reality. quiet_core
if you look in the top left corner of the blog there is a home link, or you can simply go to www.writely.com and find out what they are all about. it seems that they are a free online work processing program. however, they are not taking anymore users until they get switched over to google Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/440959-google-acquires-writely/#findComment-587289815 Share on other sites
Rudy
interesting, never heard of it before and the concept sounds a bit scary (writing a long paper in a web browser doesn't sounds safe) and hopefully google will make it available to more people Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/440959-google-acquires-writely/#findComment-587289838 Share on other sites
