Rabbits can suffer much worse deaths eg. Myxomatosis. I once stepped on a crab. I heard and felt this terrible crunching sound, then I lifted up my foot and the crab walked off half broken. I think they can repair themselves though. Or is that lobsters that can do that? That reminds me, not sure if anybody would have seen this on the news but a bloke ran over a cat in his car about 10 times by reversing then going forward again, apparently to make sure it was dead. He got caught on CCTV and they showed it on the news and you could see the cat still moving after like the 3rd running over. He got done for cruelty I think. Cats have flexible spines I have heard that in some cases it's possible for them to survive being hit by a car. Unlikely but possible, I know many don?t die on the spot either. I remember my buddy was going out with this girl a few years ago. He hit a rabbit by accident and she was just like "meh, that's a shame". Wasn't upset at all.
