"Dell's memo to its workers regarding AW

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I am not sure if I am allowed to post this but oh well. It is the memo (via email) that was sent the Dell Team members regarding the aquisition of alienware. My cousin in Texas works for Dell.

You werent. I got the same email and ummm, you werent supposed to. But its too late now! :D

*quote* I'm sure many people on this forum could construct a rig that runs better than alienware products for less money.

Thats not the point.. I could build my own machine as well as any others. Its just sad too see a company such as alienware that was designed with the serious user (gamer) in mind and provided well thought out and planned machines too the end users, furthermore they provided higher support becuase of there purpose of being an (smaller too start) entity, as where dell don't care about anything but $, and provide crappy support, and usually bottom dollar components.

My hope is that Alienware will run to the high profit model supply chain (proprietary Dell hardware) and operating models- (eventual out sourceing)?

Alienware used to only be about making some of the fastest gaming machines on the planet... It's not just about gaming anymore boys and girls, they like the taste of big profits and they are not going back.

Falcon has an opportunity here, and it should appeal to the market that has kept them in business since the beginning... before Alienware existed.

Success to Dellianware!
