levianthen
Can someone fill me in on what a cherry picker is in basketball? Isn't it a quick easy shot with no defenders? BroChaos Veteran Posted March 23, 2006 Veteran Share Posted March 23, 2006 if all of the action is in one end of the court, a person from the team who is on defense who runs towards the other end all by himself, hoping that his team will get the ball and pass it to him is a cherry picker. Des429
i kno a cherry picker in soccer is when someone (usually the offense) just stands on the other side and waits for the team to pass him the ball. basically someone that does no work what so ever and just waits to score. bayrider
Cherry pickers can be found in every sport, its basically someone who stands infront of the oppositions net, even if the play is at the other end, waiting for a pass for a free shot. Toastyone
Yeah it is like, say your team runs down and scores, and then while they run back on defense you stay back on your end say around the free throw line...Then if the other team misses a shot and your team gets the rebound they just give you a long pass and you have a open layup... and it works too if the other team does not take advantage of the 5 on 4...if they do and make the basket it does not work because they have time to get back Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/445470-cherry-picker-in-basketball/#findComment-587370725 Share on other sites
