fishrman Posted March 25, 2006 Share Posted March 25, 2006 This one will actually REPLACE your system files with alternate versions -- that is, these icons will become "THE DEFAULT WINDOWS ICONS" as opposed to the ones now. The only method of going back is either a) Uninstalling the pack, or b) Re-editing all of the DLLs, EXEs, CPLs etc, replacing them with the default Windows icons. The one problem I have with these icons is the lack of support for greater-than 48x48 for most icons...I'd really like to have 128x128 icons on the desktop and etc, but I guess I'll just have to manually patch it. For those asking, during the install a folder is created named system_backup found in Windows. If you look in it you can see what files have been changed. I think you talking about Rebuild.exe I found the way to answer the "Do you have IE6 or IE7 ?" confusing Why? Thats just because if you have WIE7 installed you don't need to change icons, they are allready vista-like icons.
