i am trying to create a banner ad in flash mx (as the file i created in fireworks came out at approx. 300k. below is a screenshot of my fireworks window.
i have the background image & there is a rectangle with a linear gradient fill (b & w) moving from right to left. It is set to 'screen' in the layers area such that it gives a fade out impression.
how do i achieve the same in flash, as i am restricted by filesize. or alternatively how do i significantly reduce the filesize in fireworks?
many thanks,
macP
edit: the reason there are so many frames is so that the transition is smooth. is this absolutely necessary?
