I'm quite sure CD+R or CD+RW does not exist.

The main difference between DVD-R/-RW and DVD+R/+RW is that 'plus' discs support a burning method called packet writing. While 'minus' discs don't support packet writing, they have better compatibility with older DVD-ROM drives and DVD players.

I have NEVER heard of a media called CD+R or CD+RW. I understand there to only be one format for recordable CDs called CD-R (which stands for CD-Recordable). There are two flavors of DVD (+ and -), the major different being how data is written with respect to the reference spirals (or so I think).

CD-RWs would be nice if they burned as fast as CD-Rs. But they burn much slower so I prefer to use CD-Rs.

And when you consider how cheap CD-R's are now, its like ?5 for 200 at some online shops.:|| That's 140GB of portable storage for ?5.. (if each disc holds 700MB each x200 working discs)

About those DVD's, the DVD+RW are mainly better than DVD-RW?

For DVD's I'd get anything +R if your burner supports it. +R discs have extra error correction codes making it better to store Data. If you're using on your computer. If its for a DVD player check and make sure its compatible.
