ViperSnake
Did some adjustments to my Fedora Core 5 Desktops... KDE Style: Polyester (I favoured it on Ubuntu, remember?) Window Decoration: Polyester Custom Color Scheme Wallpaper: Powered by Free Software...hue shifted by free desktop software (KDE) Icons: Bluecurve And now my piece de resistance, Gnome! Style: Gilouche Icons: Industrial (Tango like version from SUSE 10.1) Metacity: Gilouche Yes, you heard that right; this one is a little harder to retrieve because it is contained in a file on a SUSE FTP install repository, just look for a gnome2-SuSE-10.1-15.src.rpm, it uses the ClearLooks engine, don't worry! This RPM is an offical VS Graphics Goldmine, I might do a custom package for it like I did Ubuntulooks. I might also be basing a port of the Compiz default of it someday...kinda like Aero Express. For the layout, I even layed it out just like Suse 10.1 too! theotherdave
Ichi, I didn't realise that the XGL effects worked with any window manger other than Compiz? Will they work with any wm? ViperSnake
Umm, that IS the Compiz Window Manager you know...all it does is render the window borders and the spinning cube...Other than that; XGL is just a Compisiting Manager, kinda like AIGLX (Which I got running on FC5, man my Video Card just made it on the list, Raedon 7000 forever!! Due to slowness, I decided to still use its Xair X Server, but disable Metacity's compositing, it can do SOME of XGL's effects, like the bending windows, shadows, and minimize effects.) p.s. If you like its layout, someone ported it to Metacity http://www.gnome-look.org/content/download...tent=37636&id=1 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/448563-gnulinux-april-2006-desktops/page/2/#findComment-587399231 Share on other sites

The font is called "Geometr415 Lt BT Lite" and I'm not sure what you mean by cascading my windows. I just resized Firefox and my terminal and rolled up my Gimp. Rob2687
The Expose thing is part of the Compiz window manager. Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/448563-gnulinux-april-2006-desktops/page/2/#findComment-587400571 Share on other sites
