Take a final look at Microsoft Passport (aka: ".NET passport") Wait, it's too late. Today, the Windows Live ID Team rolled out the next generation of Microsoft's passport system currently branded as "Windows Live ID"

Although at a first glance it may not look all that different, it's more different then you may think. Live ID has been made extremely simple for users to use, the service now remembers users who have logged on in the past and makes it extremely simple to choose your account and log in.

If you would like to test drive this new service, simply go to any Windows Live page such as www.live.com and click on the "Sign-in" link, you will then be taken to the new sign-in page.

yeah, this is really just a pretty new design until they add the multiple credintials support like in windows xp which is what everyone wants. it will be SOOOOO useful for me.

oh NOW i understand after going to the liveside link in the post above i understand that you have to use the sigh in assistant to get multi sign in which is fine. but im surprised that is not possible to do it with web coding :s

Why not just name@live.com ?

Pathetic subdomains just complicate everything

i do see what you mean i does seem a bit pointless, but i think the majority of people will think its fun and you will be able to choose something that describes your personality i guess. but yeah just having @live.com does seem easy but oh well, thats the way it goes.

i just cant wait to sign up for one

Technically you could create the multi sign-in with web coding, but it would break too much because it uses cookies. How many people like to empty out their cookies? Lots, so it would ruin the whole experience. By using a sign-in assistant, they don't have to rely on cookies. At least that is how I think it works, won't know for sure until I try it.

Uh Ohhh!

I'm not gonna complain if it's @uk.live.com but the others just too long.
