[off topic] I wonder if anybody would be interested if we modified this somewhat... Would anybody be interested if I were to take these entries and create an online database out of them? Then, you could go to it, enter the name of a commercial app that you want a freeware equivalent of, and boom - shows you the suggestions.

Yours doesn't quite work in the way I'm suggesting... The I'm suggesting, a user would visit a page with a search box. They could then type in "Microsoft Office" (for example) and it would then suggest freeware alternatives based on that search

Make a post with the name of the software if you find spyware, I will remove it.

Download and install the latest free version of BSPlayer and you will see it contains spyware.

To their credit, during the install has a whole page devoted to telling you they are about to put spyware on your system, the nature of the spyware and the fact that BSPlayer will quit working if you remove the spyware.

I still use an older free version since there is a great plug-in available for my remote control.

This version has an client-side software application Whenu Save! that deliver a limited number of behaviorally targeted and contextually relevant coupons, ads and comparative shopping results directly to consumers desktops - without compromising the privacy, security or smooth functioning of peoples computers!

i have to chip in and say that SUPER is the video encoding tool i have been looking for. you put in the video file, decide what format you want to convert to and push the convert button and its done. No bitrates to know or anything like that, but the options are all there so that you can change them if need be. 4 clicks and i can convert from one format to any other. I love this program!
