Well mk1990 who cares that you use office beta? That's not the point here ... .

The guy helped me greatly, I could test and see the changes whitout installing it and I say a big thank you to him. What's wrong with that? Everyone seem pleased here, it's a great idea from his part and very generous.

Hello1024 many thanks again.

P.S: Outlook seem broken, it can't load the personal thingy and just quit.

I'll see if I can fix outlook when I have a sec - glad most people seem to like it

I logged in to just try outlook, and it didn't run. So yes, please fix it. And thanks for doing this. And who cares if this is illegal or not. Unless he's making money out of this, its ok in my book. This saves people from going through the trouble of downloading the public beta, installing it, try it out, and then uninstalling it.

I didn't install minefield - some user did, yes it seems to be a firefox development version.

Talking about which, how come a LIMITED XP user account has full read/write access by default to the root of the c: drive even with an NTFS formatted disk?? Also, how come they can control some hardware and disconnect/disable the network adapter? I thought XP's account was so limited it was good for pretty much nothing.

Thanks whoever "cleaned up" all the mess made by other users.

I just want to say thank you Hello1024!

Great idea and it definately saved me a few hours of downloading! I din't touch a thing but I just opened Word, Excel and Outlook - and was amazed at how much better Office is - I love the menus. Thanks again.

Maybe you can try the Vista Beta 2 then link us to your virtual PC, Hello1024? Hehe.

Ahh I have Office 2007 Beta 2 - full package, including OneNote, FrontPage (I know it's SharePoint Designer now, but I still refer it to the former nomenclature of FrontPage), Project Pro, Visio Pro, and Groove.

It's a virtual PC, so if it gets hacked, then well done to the hacker, but all he'll find is a clean XP install that has nothing of interest on, and I can revert to it's original state with the click of one button. :)

lmao. That's smart. :)

I remember using eXeem in a Virtual PC for similar reasons.
