I still have that video :p - my speakers and receiver are from the early 90's, they don't make analogue audio equipment like they used to and IMO the best stuff was made back then when the then big names (Pineer, Kenwood, Sherwood, Gale etc) were the only big names around until Sony and everyone started making consumer grade stuff and selling them cheap.

The speakers are 100w/pc @ 6 ohms and are made by a company called JPW and the receiver is a Kenwood KRV7050 Dolby model. The driver ring on the speaker is silicone which aids the excursion and bass note.

I use lineout from my Santa Cruz (also an old skool yet regarded as one of the best soundcards for movies and music around) to the line in on the source of the receiver and control all volume from there. No software EQ or anything as they all suck :p

damn, early 90s.. i thought most early 90s speakers looked pretty ugly, those look very decent even today.

and JPW huh? honestly never heard of them. are you in europe? theres a lot of very good british/european brands that have almost no recognition in the U.S.

and are they completely stock?? for some reason i thought you said you replaced their tweeters or something (not sure).

My monitor audio silver RS6s (speaking of british brands..) have aluminum woofers and midrange, they have good bass but they dont show nearly the same excursion. However i love the soundstage they present :D

ill take some pictures of them today...

Aye they came with silicone dome tweeters as stock but I switched those with a pair of polycell tweeters I had from a set of speakers dating back to the late 80's ish era :D they give off more high range presence I found so decided to keep them :)

Looking forward to your pics!

You can tell mine are quite old heh, front firing bass vents are not common on newer speakers these days :p

New desk and bed/mattress, I haven't got my new thermaltake case in the mail yet though, so I am just using my laptop and LCD.

Where'd u get those plastic drawers beside your bed? Do you use it as a night stand?

Some changes to my system. Epson R340 Photo printer replaces old HP 722c, and Pioneer DVD Burner replaces TDK CDRW. I know what you are all gonna say, why not a beige DVD burner. Well I got it on sale at Bestbuy and their was no beige!. Also I figure that when I go to replace my case in the future, I'll be going with either a black or silver case with door over drives. So only DVD ROM and Floppy if I install it will be odd color.
