I've been out here for about five months so far, I just got back from a seven month deployment last August though.

Naw, trust me, we keep these things sufficiently cooled, except that one day power dropped and the server chassis were all at around 115 degrees F! That was some day. Let's just say we have a lot more to worry about than most Network/Systems admins in the world!

The Marine Corps is all about Semper Gumbi(Always Flexible)

Ok, I've decided I'm too lazy to clean so I'll just post my stuff now.

Pictured is a Dell 2007WFP, the worst router ever made, my PS2 which is hooked up to my monitor, an Acer laptop connected via Crossover cable to my computer, a USB Drink Cooler, 5.1 sound all set up in straight line because I'm also too lazy to put the speakers behind me right now, G5 mouse, MediaElite Keyboard, 200 year old iPod, even older USB flash drive, and some Claritin.

Pictured here is a great case with terrible cable management. The PSU has a blue LED fan in it, but it didn't come out good in picture, so screw it.

If you guys have the router I think I see, the WRT54G, then I have a fix for the torrent problem.

http://www.thibor.co.uk/

It's third party firmware. I've been running it for two weeks with no problems. There is actually a tutorial on utorrents site about it that I can't seem to find at the moment if you need it. The firmware also gives you extra options like extending your signal. (Don't do it too much or you can overheat it, lol.)

But yea, it turns the router into a kick ass one. It only works with versions 1-4 though. 5-7 don't work at all. You can check out the version on the bottom of the router if you don't know which you have.

Well I finally got a Dell 2405FPW 24 Ultrasharp LCD.

To celebrate the occasion I decided to clean up my study :)

It?s taken all day but here is the final result.

The monitor is absolutely fantastic by the way.

One question I want to ask is, what do you think I should do with my speakers. The desk I have is fairly large but I would love to do something about the 6 speakers. Any idea's??

Your point?

My point is that we should stay on topic. You posted pictures of your server. (aka: a "work" station)

from Dictionary.com:

work?sta?tion n.

1. An area, as in an office, outfitted with equipment and furnishings for one worker and usually including a computer.

2. A sophisticated standalone computer used for a specific purpose, such as imaging.

Maybe it would be interesting to see a new topic named "Post your servers", which would better suit your images and topics of conversation.

Keep gopin' and I'll put a picture up with the screen out just to spite you  .

I use that "work" station more than my own computer, so it is more than fitting to post them as my workstation.

Seriously man, I can't post my workstation as it would look stateside can I? I didn't exactly hurt anyone by posting it anyway.

A workstation, often colloquially referred to as Unix workstation, RISC workstation or engineering workstation, is a high-end technical computing desktop microcomputer designed primarily to be used by one person at a time, but can also be connected remotely to other users when necessary.

Workstations usually offer higher performance than normally found in a personal computer, especially with respect to graphics, processing power and multitasking ability.
