I really don't like the red with the black...just looks odd to me.
It's based around the look of U2's latest album (How to Dismantle an Atomic Bomb).

I think it's great that the U2 iPod is back, but Apple should be focusing on other artists too - like that rumored pink Madonna iPod.

Am I the only one that things this is deserves nothing more than a boo hoo? They release an "encore" and the only big change are the signatures
The signature's aren't new - the only different between this U2 iPod and the original is that this is a 5th generation iPod, not a 4th generation. Clearly there was demand for the U2 iPod to be brought back, so Apple delivered.

I don't about apple but I didn't see any U2 iPod's selling like mad so why are they wasting their time with this crap? I am sure they would make more money if they chose Pink Floyd, AC/DC, or any of the more prominent bands. (Not saying I like those bands but just suggesting.)

Apple isn't stupid. Any decision they take will boost their profit (it has to, or that's "bad"). If they just made another U2 iPod, it's because they know they will sell em.

To say that U2 is not a mainstream band like Pink Floyd or ACDC is crazy. They have been around since late 70's and have reached insane popularity in the 80's.

What would you prefer? an iPod with today's so-called rock bands?

Pink Floyd, despite being part of the legends of rock, is sort of unnoficially "finished".
