Nilhanth
I don't appear to need the 12th update!?! (Vulnerability in Graphics Rendering Engine Could Allow Remote Code Execution-- KB918547) it didn't show in the list when I went on Microsoft Update...? Anyone else have this in their list? Stunna
Thanks for the info. Btw: it would be intresting to know how Vista (B2) handles these flaws - as it got public before these fixes. I really like to hear a statement, like "Vista doesn't need these fixes, because of the rewritten network parts: it defends you from these flaws out of the box". :p But i have a feeling it won't happen... I'd also like to see who vista handles these flaws if it has them. Andrew Lyle Global Moderator Posted June 13, 2006 Global Moderator Share Posted June 13, 2006 Why must we wait for critical updates. Oh lets give viruses, hackers, etc time to exploit the hole before patch tuesday! i think it's more of exploring and taking time to get everything correct, such as, what exactly they are attacking, and what could be attacked in the future. Microsoft staff investigates everything, instead of releasing a patch, then releasing patch "1b" or "1c" because it wasn't patched properly. thanks for the update! i see that 9 were windows related, and 3 were office related Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/469655-windows-gets-big-security-update/page/2/#findComment-587603275 Share on other sites
MrBear5587
Did the updates affect Logitech Setpoint for anyone else? I have Setpoint 2.60 (Build 606) installed for my G5, and now, since installing all the updates whenever I reboot there's a SetPoint error saying I need to reinstall SetPoint.
