LOC Veteran Posted June 20, 2006 Author Veteran Share Posted June 20, 2006 First I'm no expert, I'm only pointing this out for an answer. I have ProcessGuard installed on my PC and when I installed this it gave me an alert. I knew it was coming always does when installing software. But because I don't REALLY know the makers I checked it out carefully anyway. So what was surprising to me is that this software when it installed check my system for all my security software. All my protected software was trying to be read. Why on earth does it need to read my software?? Just so there is no confusion. Firefox does NOT do this. Any Ideas? thoughts? I'm only asking here, not accusing. But I have installed a few other apps and none tried to read my protected software. I seriously doubt there's anything bad going on here. After all one of the devs of Flock helped develop Mozilla itself. I'd suggest posting on their forums about it, I'm sure a dev will respond, or someone else may have a clue what is going on. It could be a bug, or it could be on purpose for a reason.

Thanks for the reply LOC, I'm sure your right. I posted on PG's forums, they will know if this is something harmless or needs looked into further. I'm sure it's nothing, I just found it odd and thought I would ask someone that knows more about this stuff. Again thanks.
Tiftof
Just updated to 0.7.1 and now I was able to install google notebook :) Flock is now able to install all firefox extensions but you get a warning saying that there might be problems since the plugins are not really designed for flock. But working great though!

It's the only one that's actually changed me from FF. 0.7.1 is a nice improvement extension wise :).
