amyers
The page is unavailable or no longer existsThe page you're trying to find is either temporarily unavailable or no longer exists. Please do one of the following: - Click your browser's Refresh button to try reconnecting to the page. - Check the spelling of the web address in your browser's address bar. - Click your browser's Back button to go to the previous page. - Go to the Windows Live Account home page, and navigate to the page from there. I got my first one, went back for a second, and got this.
benac
:D I got mine, just got back from the cinema and noticed the page was down when i was going to register one for my first name and get my dad one too with his first name. Does anyone know if it will be possible to merge both accounts of e-mails from my "@hotmail.co.uk" address will be forwarded to my "@live.co.uk" account and all my existing e-mails will be sent too? I've got some important e-mails that I need to keep. Im guessing there ganna completely phase hotmail out eventually, So more than likely hotmail will completely merge into windows live mail. Meaning, hotmail.com will point to live.com. So therefore, more than likely all hotmail account will be swapped to @live or @windowslive domains. Otherwise, there ganna have there massive DB of hotmail users and this new small live DB....Id say they will merge.

People are signing up for Live.com names that may be already taken by someone using Hotmail. I don't think they can just move john.smith@hotmail.com to john.smith@live.com. I guess when the time comes to move It'll give options as to whether you want a new address or stick with the @hotmail.com one.

If there smart, they'll give the option to transfer in the future.

benac
Question: If you got into the new live account signup, those american accounts are assigned 2 gigs of space? How is this known? There no disk space status bar on live, yet. Would be nice if this is permant, however im thinking when it goes public we'll be reverted to the usual 250mb. They might be trying to compete with G-mail though, so never know.

manduck
manduck: yes you choose "register a new ID" then you input an existing NON-HOTMAIL/LIVE MAIL email address (for example manduck@yourdomain.com) this will register it for passport, then follow the other steps and change the address to @live.com Then the non-hotmail / live mail address will be disassociated from Passport and you have a nice new @live.com email :D there currently is no way to get it to forward to your existing hotmail / live mail account :p Thankssss soooooo muchhh....finally got it! thankkz!
