Vexii
Maybe all of you should use Nero Lite! Currently it's on version 7.2.0.3b but it will be updated soon. Nero 7 Lite is a full functional Burning Software Suite including: * Nero Burning Rom * Nero Express * Nero CoverDesigner * Nero WaveEditor * Nero Toolkit also included in Nero 7 Lite: * MauSau Audio Plugins * MP3 Skipping Problem fixed Pending review * Complete Nero Help However this is still a lite pack, so this is left out: * Nero Home * nero Scout * Nero StartSmart * Nero SoundTrax * Nero Vision * Nero Recode * Nero Showtime * Nero MediaHome * Nero PhotoSnap * Nero BackItUp * Nero InCD * Nero SoundBox * Nero ImageDrive GREAT!!! Just what I was looking for :p Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587634134 Share on other sites
Toology
I'm still reluctant after the disaster installing Nero 7 turned out to be when it came out. :pinch: I've tried Ashampoo but it crashed whenever I attempted to burn a CD. So as of now I'm still using Nero 6.6.0.16. Maybe Nero 7 Lite is the answer. L3thal Veteran Posted June 23, 2006 Veteran Share Posted June 23, 2006 Just installed Nero 7 and I am quite delighted. The bugs and issues I encountered when Nero 7 first came out are not there and it runs very smoothly. Thanks for the update :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587634168 Share on other sites
gertin
Nero 7 had a really bumpy initial release, but it's great now. I don't understand why all of you contain about bloat. I mean, there's a custom installation option for a reason.. jeez.. Exactly and v6 doesn't even have a custom install.Nero Lite looks nice. :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587634335 Share on other sites
Koopie
Version number 7.2.3.2 Release Date: 06/23/2006 Changes/Bugfixes * Nero Burning ROM and Nero Express crashed after the DEMO version had expired. * Bad, scratchy sound when encoding files to mp3 using the 'standard' settings * Multisession was not automatically selected when burning to the image recorder * UNC support of Nero did not work anymore, so continuing a multi session CD with UNC paths did not work * Nero Burning ROM did not use the selected partition to create a boot CD * Nero Express crashed under Windows 98 when adding protected WMA files to a compilation * Nero Burning ROM had graphical problems under Windows 98 when changing the menu options any kind of animation * It was possible to select the ISO file system view in the folder panel of the compilation, although a UDF compilation was chosen * Error message was shown when starting to convert Audio CDs to Nero Digital Audio Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587634343 Share on other sites

martyras
If you choose to install Nero 7, be sure to have system restore enabled, more likely, you gonna need it. I tried updating through auto update, hanged and then messed the whole installation, used clean tools and reinstalled (only burning rom+recode+tools) and then all my icons were messed up! A system restore saved the day. I have the suspision that uninstalling this new version, messes your icons. Have you noticed that it now takes control of iso, cue files (who knows what else) without asking? Edit: Nero Scout is installed whether you want it or not - yet to make a selection in custom install. gadean
I'll give the latest version of Nero another shot. The previous versions had several minor bugs that annoyed me. (namely the DVD menus - they never worked as intended in my DVD player) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587641511 Share on other sites
Darnell 0216
I've had nothing but troubles with Nero 7... 1) Wouldn't detect the lightscribe on my DVDRW. Before I downgraded, I had to use the LightScribe software direct from the site. I don't remember if it even detected my DVDRW as a DVDRW properly... 2) Skipping Audio CDs. I shouldn't have to replace a faulty dll because the Devs wanna be lazy (yeah I still have to do it with 6.6, sue me :p ). 3) File extension snatching. 4) As someone already mentioned, using the custom install still didn't prevent some of the bloatware from installing. If I feel 'lucky' maybe I'll try v7.2.x... If not maybe by the time 7.6 is out, it'll perform like 6.6 Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/472560-nero-burning-rom-7232b/page/2/#findComment-587641695 Share on other sites
