I saw a video on this technology a long time ago, but this was great b/c he explained things in detail. I am not sure I like it though. It would be hard to type a paper or something on it.

It's wonderful when using simple and visual stuff like a photo manager or virtual earth thing. But in reality some programs need an interface, imagine using 3ds max or delphi with this thing. Navigating the workspace is great but when it comes to change the properties of an object you're doomed! You gotta build a huge interface to use with your fingertips instead of a one pixel mouse cursor tip. The guy's screen is like 30 inches.

that was amazing. but just imagine how often you will have to clean your screen from fingerprints :|

and I can already see the downfall in trying to do precision work. your finger tips are too large for doing fine touches to art work and such. though for other stuff i guess it allows you to flow with your work instead of constantly switching between different tools.

exactly what I was gonna say ... pen/stylus

I can see the company I work for using somthing like this. instead of the pickers in the warehouse sitting down, there is a wall ... we (in sales) send them an order, then tap, tick, poke, and it gives a direct line to where it is.

Or a neural surgen etc ...

I would buy it ...
