metallithrax
Apparently they have verbally agreed terms. Why the hell would Shamrock want to do this after having his ass handed to himself on a plate in both previous meetings. Another article. He thinks he is the strongest in UFC.. and can beat anybody. After being knocked in the head so many times, you tend to go brain dead. Shamrock was always looking for the fight. I know it may have been like that for TV, but it made him look bad. When i first heard of Ultimate Fighter 3, shamrock vs ortiz, i stayed with Shamrock until the 3rd or 4th episode.. then i noticed how much shamrock forces stuff, doesn't show up to practice, and basically didn't care a whole lot with his guys. Ortiz took it nice and easy, trained all his guys so well, and even gave Matt Hamill (the deaf guy) a special translator.. Ortiz actually sees potential in people, and brings it to the surface. I watched a special on Ortiz vs Shamrock before the big 1 min and 18 second fight, and you see all these guys training with Ortiz up in big bear, mostly guys from UF3... Tito all the way! screw shamrock! Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/486016-shamrock-v-ortiz-iii/#findComment-587777466 Share on other sites

Tito all the way! screw shamrock! Agreed again. I liked Shamrock from early UFC and WWF. But watching him on UF3, he came across as such an arse. Like you said, not showing for training etc. Not good when you need the guys to know what they are doing. Much the same as Matt Hughes in UF2 with Rashad Evans - he didn't turn up for the training session before the semi final (I think). DiEMOS
oh man, tito vs shamrock 3, that would be awesome, i watched second fight. tito destroyed shamrock.... now all i'm asking is for Arlovski to take his title back. by the way UFC 63 should be exciting, whoever is into it(like me) Hughe vs Pierre :) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/486016-shamrock-v-ortiz-iii/#findComment-587777478 Share on other sites

Matt Hughes came across as an arogant arse on UF2. Rich Franklin on the other hand came across as a really nice guy. Can't believe this fight is on when I am in Vegas, and it isn't in Vegas  . Although I already have tickets for a concert on that night anyway - Toby Keith for those that want to know :D Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/486016-shamrock-v-ortiz-iii/#findComment-587777483 Share on other sites

DiEMOS
True, it wont be happening for a while, but Tim sylvia was horrible in both fights (second and third) i mean second fight he got knocked out again but somehow got up and "luckily" caught Arlovski. Third fight, what did he do? (i have the fight and watched it more than once) he did not do anything, in addition, he is 6"8 - he is a mutant... very hard to catch him especially if he is not doing anything. And if you watched the third fight, Arlovski should of kept hitting his leg, he would of won, but he had an ankle injury before that, thats why he stopped kicking in round 2. anyways... arlovski rules heavyweights, IMO. I think Gracie is out of his league nowadays, UFC has moved on a lot since his peak, but he hasn't. I agree about Randy though both he and Chuck came across as really nice people one the 1st Ultimate Fighter. Zoom7000
As tough an SOB that Matt Hughes is, damn right he is an arrogant ######! Having said what a tough SOB he is though, got pretty badly owned by BJ Penn! I just wish Gracie returns and kicks his butt. Give it time though, I'm not surprised that Royce lost given his time away from the Octogon. But a little more training here and there, and we could see him land those stunning submissions again soon! As for Shamrock, do we really need to see another episode of Tito beating him to a pulp again? Man, I wish they showed the press conferences on Bravo here in the UK! Tito laughing at Ken, classic! I bet Tito ain't complaining, easy wins for him. He just wants Chuck again. However, with Chuck up against the prospect of Wanderlei Silva... his days as LHW Champ look numbered! The heavyweight division is looking a right mess if you ask me! Frank Mir was good, but has been a shadow of himself since returning from injury. The last fight between Silvia and Arlovski was just plain dire! Bring back Tank Abbott! (j/k - Well he was at least a little more entertaining! :p) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/486016-shamrock-v-ortiz-iii/#findComment-587784076 Share on other sites
