metallithrax Posted August 26, 2006 Share Posted August 26, 2006 Jose Luis Castillo was fined $250,000 and his Nevada boxing license was suspended for the rest of the year for failing to make weight for a June 3 title fight against Diego Corrales. The commissioners, at a hearing Thursday at the Reno-Tahoe International Airport, were angered by Castillo's testimony that an unidentified member of his camp offered to draw his blood to help him shed weight. Source This has got to be he sickest thing ever in boxing. A member of his own camp saying he should lose blood to make the weight :blink: . Yeah, he weighed in about 5 pounds overweight. He did the same in the previous fight between the two, but that time the other fighter agreed to fight and was flattened. He didn't make the same mistake this time and refused to fight him in a non title fight.
