PartitionMagic always failed whenever I used it! That's why I use DiskDrake, the partitioning utility that comes with Linux-Mandrake 8.0. It's the only partitioning utility that I've ever used that works perfectly on my Fujitsu 30GB Hard Drive @ 5400 RPM. Fujitsu Drives don't support PartitionMagic nor FDisk. The partitioning must be done with their disk utility and then, when one wants to install Linux, then one can configure the partitions correctly. So don't use PartitionMagic if your hard drive is a Fujitsu. :)

DamN, Linux is free if you download it, but if you have never installed Linux before, I STRONGLY recommend that you buy Linux, whether it's Mandrake, OpenLinux, Red Hat, TurboLinux, or whatever distro you want to install. For Mandrake, the Standard edition will do you just fine unless if you really need to run those 2500+ applications on Linux! :D
