I have posted this before, but these are some updated shots. Plus, I put the old G3 back in service. Typical Mac, it functions as my web server at the house. Pity, that thing runs faster than my 2.4GHz file server and my 1.7Ghz backup file server. Yaaay Apple!

Hell of a setup. My friend has a G3, runs good, has a LOT of clutter, runs good though. The only thing that doesn't run good on it is Internet Explorer.

I've got two of those Compaq PC's of my own, we had about 20 of them at work after some company went into administration.

My HP Media Server, network attached store rules, especially when you get it really cheap...

And finally, the wiring closet of sorts that looks just fine with the door shut...

There very nice set up you have there but why do you and your wife have two seperate computers lol i would only have one ahh well non the less there very nice its 2047WFp you both using yes?

We both spend a lot of time on the PC doing very different things, two PCs is an absolute necessity at my house. No, I have a 2007FPW and she has a 2005FPW.

Hmm, interesting. Please tell me how you got the wiring through the closet wall...picture maybe

It's actually not through the wall, call that an unintended optical illusion, I ran the cable along the baseboards and there is a nice notch in the bottom of the door frame that allows me to route it all in. All total I have 4 ethernet and2 power cables running into the closet and you have to look to find them. It's not quite as attractive as it sounds, but it passes the wife test from aesthetics so I'll take it.
