Ambroos
Installing now (in XP, though it is also Vista compatible) Noticed changes already: - Installer is not anymore web-based, but downloadable .exe (look first post for download) - Can't update/upgrade from 1.1 yet... (not going to uninstall 1.1 now, sorry, Stupid homework) Edited October 9, 2006 by Ambroos Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502150-onecare-15-beta-just-started/#findComment-587941976 Share on other sites

Vykranth
Sigh. Between WMP11 and OneCare, the pioneers on x64 are really left out. Come on, MS, x64 workstations are not that expensive and it's not that difficult to write portable code Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502150-onecare-15-beta-just-started/#findComment-587942345 Share on other sites
Subaru
It does tell you you need to uninstall other anti virus programs,I think antispyware programs are ok though Yes, i know, but i wonder if this is not kinda "monopolistic" tactic to get rid of other anti-virus solutions already present on clients' machines. Yes, i know it's not good to have 2 antivirus installed and running at the same time, but all installs offer some "Ignore this" button to keep installing at your own risk. Here it is more like "take it or leave it" :pinch: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/502150-onecare-15-beta-just-started/#findComment-587942349 Share on other sites

Dr.Jones
I tried activating the beta on Vista (5728) and it asked me for a 25 digit PIN.. Can't find any info about that. AJerman
Yeah, every AV program tells you to uninstall all other AVs before installing. It's not just Microsoft trying to be "monopolistic".
